A lifelong member of the community, John graduated from Locust Valley High School in 1980, where he was actively involved in various school and local activities. He went on to attend SUNY Plattsburgh, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985. After completing his undergraduate education, John embarked on a distinguished career in law enforcement with the City of Glen Cove Police Department. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, eventually retiring in 2013 as a Police Lieutenant, a role in which he demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and service to his community.
In 2014, John decided to pursue his passion for physical therapy and was accepted into the highly competitive Physical Therapist Assistant program at Nassau Community College. During his time in the program, he excelled academically, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2016. He also served as class president, showcasing his ability to lead and inspire others. While in school, John further expanded his expertise by earning his Personal Training certification in 2015. Since then, he has been actively involved in fitness and wellness, serving as a trainer and wellness coach at the Glen Cove YMCA, where he has helped countless individuals achieve their health and fitness goals.
John’s comprehensive life experiences, combined with his education and professional background, make him a valuable asset to SoundSide Physical Therapy. His ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients ensures they receive the highest quality of care. He specializes in working with geriatric patients, helping improve gait, balance, and general strength, as well as tailoring treatments to meet each individual’s needs.
Outside of his professional life, John enjoys staying active by playing golf, going to the gym, and spending quality time with his family. He is an enthusiastic supporter of his children’s athletic endeavors, proudly watching his son play College Hockey at Fairfield University and his daughter excel in Field Hockey at Providence College on the weekends. John's commitment to his family, community, and patients highlights his dedication to improving the well-being of those around him.

He was accepted into the highly competitive Physical Therapist Assistant program at Nassau Community College in September 2014 and graduated Magna cum laude in 2016 after having served as class president. In 2015 he earned his Personal Training certification and serves as a trainer and wellness coach at the Glen Cove YMCA. John brings to SoundSide Physical Therapy his life experiences and education to effectively communicate with his patients and provide them with the highest quality of care. John specializes in treating geriatrics, gait/balance and generalized strength training patients.
