Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Adelphi University in 2020 Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York Institute of Technology in 2023
Laura has always been passionate about helping others, but it took some time for her to discover how she wanted to channel that passion into a career. As she entered college, her desire to make a difference led her to explore various fields before ultimately choosing to pursue a degree in Exercise Science at Adelphi University. This path allowed her to combine her interests in athletics, health, and the sciences.
During her time at Adelphi, Laura became deeply fascinated with kinesiology, the study of human movement, and realized that physical therapy was the perfect career to merge her passion for science, wellness, and patient care. After earning her Bachelor's degree in 2020, she continued her education at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2023.
While at NYIT, Laura not only honed her technical skills but also developed a strong appreciation for the holistic impact that physical therapy can have on people's lives. Her dedication to the field led her to become an adjunct professor in NYIT's DPT program, where she now helps shape and mentor the next generation of physical therapists.
Laura loves her work as a physical therapist because it allows her to support individuals in achieving healthier, more fulfilling lives. Whether helping patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, or reach lifelong fitness goals, she feels privileged to play a role in their journeys.
In her free time, Laura enjoys staying active and connecting with nature. She loves spending time outdoors with family and friends, and you'll often find her hiking scenic trails, waterskiing on a sunny day, or kayaking on peaceful lakes. These activities reflect her passion for movement and her belief in the importance of an active, balanced lifestyle.
